BALLOT DROP BOX LOCATION
A ballot drop box for Highland City can be located at 5400 W Civic Center Drive on the north side of City Hall by the utility drop box. The ballot drop box location is also posted on Highland City’s website on the Election page https://www.highlandut.gov/267/Elections, and will be updated if there are any changes or additional drop box locations are added. Further questions regarding ballot drop boxes may be directed to the city election official by calling (801) 772-4505.

All early voting for the August 12, 2025 Primary Election will take place at the Utah County Elections Office, located at 100 E Center Street Room 3100, Provo, UT 84606.Early voting will take place each weekday beginning Monday, August 4 and ending Monday, August 11, 2025. Polls will be open between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM each weekday. More information about early voting in the 2025 Primary Election, may be obtained by any of the following means:

2025 NOTICE OF MUNICIPAL ELECTION
(UCA 10-3-301)
MUNICIPAL OFFICES OPEN FOR ELECTION:
One (1) Mayoral seat and Two (2) City Council seats. Each seat is for a 4-year term, January 2026 – December 31, 2029.
CANDIDATE FILING PERIOD:
Any resident interested in becoming a candidate for office must file a Declaration of Candidacy and Conflict of Interest and Financial Disclosure form in person at the Highland City Recorder’s Office located at 5400 W Civic Center Drive, Monday – Friday, June 2 – 6, 2025 between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and, pay a $35 filing fee.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To qualify as a candidate, you must be a registered voter, a resident of Highland for 12 consecutive months immediately before the date of the election, and in accordance with Utah Constitution Article IV, Section 6, any mentally incompetent person, any person convicted of a felony, treason, or a crime against the elective franchise may not hold office in this state until the right to hold elective office is restored.
IMPORTANT DATES:
June 2-6 Candidate Filing Period (8:00 am to 5:00 pm)
August 12 Primary Election (if needed)
November 4 General Election
VOTER REGISTRATION INFORMATION:
To register, you must:
• be a citizen of the United States
