About the Recorder
The recorder is responsible for the compliance with laws governing public meetings and coordinating meeting documents (agendas, minutes, and audio recordings) for City Council and other City Boards and Committees. The recorder is also responsible for keeping the official record of all City Council actions, including the approval of ordinances and resolutions. The recorder is responsible for the codification, maintenance and distribution of the City Code.
Utah Public Notice Website
The Utah Public Notice Website provides access to statewide public notifications, including City Council, Planning Commission and Committee agendas, meeting minutes and various other notifications.
Records Retention and GRAMA Requests
The recorder preserves historical records of the City and provides the dissemination of public information in accordance with the Government Records Access Management Act (GRAMA). To request public records, please complete a GRAMA Request Form.
Highland City Municipal Election
The recorder serves as the City’s Election Officer and coordinates the City’s Municipal Election and election related activities. Highland City has contracted with Utah County to administer the 2021 Municipal Election. The recorder also coordinates the purchase of cemetery plots and assists with burial arrangements.
