Capture the Essence of Highland City Through Your Lens!

We're excited to announce our upcoming photography contest! This contest is a chance for you to showcase your talent and contribute to the beauty of our city's website with stunning new images!

Categories: All Categories open NOW and close on August 5th

1. Community: Candid shots or portraits capturing the essence of life in Highland City, showcasing community events, local gatherings, or everyday moments.

2. Historical Landmarks: Photos highlighting historical buildings, monuments, or sites that hold significance in Highland City's history. 

3. Nature and Landscapes: Stunning photographs of the natural beauty found in Highland City, including lakes, rivers, forests, and scenic spots.

4. Parks: Showcase the beauty and amenities of Highland City's parks, capturing their unique features, flora, fauna, and community engagement.

Prizes:

• Entry Prize: All participants will receive a small entry prize as a token of appreciation for their contribution.

• Grand Prize: Each category winner will receive a grand prize, recognizing their outstanding photography skills and creativity.

Recognition:

Every finalist and winner will see their photographs prominently displayed on our city's website, highlighting their skill and innovation. Each photographer will receive proper credit for their contribution to enriching our city's digital platforms.

How to Participate:

1. Capture: Take stunning photos that align with the contest categories using any device, from smartphones to DSLRs and drones.

2. Submit:

3. Complete the online submission form where you will upload your high-resolution photos directly through the submission form.

4. Include your name, contact information, photo descriptions, and the category you are entering.

5. Sign and upload the copyright release form with your submission, granting Highland City the right to use your photos for promotional purposes.

Voting Process:

• Social Media Voting: The community will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite photos on social media to narrow down the finalists from each category.

• City Council Voting: The final winners for each category and our overall grand prize winners (1st, 2nd, 3rd) will be selected by the Highland City Council, considering the social media votes and the judging criteria.

Contest Timeline:

• Submission Deadline: All categories submissions will close on Monday, August 5th at midnight.

• Social Media Voting Period: August 12th, 13th and 14th

• City Council Voting: At City Council August 20th

• Winners Announcement: August 21st on Facebook, Instagram and on our website. Winners will be notified by phone or email.
