The City is currently in the process of comprehensively updating and amending the General Plan. The Planning Commission reviewed the general plan on September 23, 2025, and made a recommendation on a draft plan to be reviewed by the City Council. The City Council reviewed the draft on November 18, 2025, and on December 2, 2025, the Council held a public hearing on the General Plan and provided feedback and directed changes to be implemented into the draft General Plan.
Currently, the City Council is scheduled to hold another public hearing to review the draft General Plan on January 20, 2026. It is anticipated the Council will make a final decision as to adoption of the updated and amended General Plan on that day.
General Plan Draft Documents - City Council Review
The final draft of the General Plan will be presented to the City Council on January 20, 2026. A public hearing will be held that evening, after which it is anticipated that the City Council will adopt the general plan. Below is the current draft of the General Plan and appendices, anticipated to be adopted in January,
